Visit the official USPS Change-of-Address page here.

Step 2: Select Your Move Type

Choose the type of move you're making: Individual, Family, or Business. If you're unsure, select an option for more information about that type of move.

Step 3: Provide Your Contact Information

Enter your first name, middle name or initial, and last name. Make sure to provide an active and accurate email address and mobile phone number. These will be used for confirmation and one-time reminder emails, as well as for online identity proofing and verification.

Step 4: Specify Your Move Duration

Indicate whether you plan on returning to your old address in six months or less. Selecting "Yes" will classify your Change-of-Address as Temporary, while "No" will classify it as Permanent.

Step 5: Set Your Mail Forwarding Date

Enter the date you'd like USPS to begin forwarding your mail to your new address. This date must not be more than 30 days prior to today, or more than 3 months from today.

Step 6: Enter Your Old Address

Provide your old address, including the ZIP Code, city, state, and street address. If your address is a PO Box, enter it in the Street Address field.

Step 7: Enter Your New Address

Provide your new address, including the ZIP Code, city, state, and street address. If your address is a PO Box, enter it in the Street Address field.

Step 8: Submit Your Request

After filling out all the necessary information, submit your request for Change-of-Address and Forwarding Services. Your information will be used to provide mail forwarding and Change-of-Address (COA) services, move-related advertisements, to verify your identity, facilitate communication, identify and mitigate potential fraud, and provide address correction services.

Remember, the USPS is there to help make your move smoother. If you have any issues or questions, don't hesitate to reach out to them for assistance.
